  • Artlines:  There is a big image and nice review of my work in the Picasso edition of Artlines, distributed by the Queensland Art Gallery.  The review is titled: Stranger than Fiction: Memoir and narrative in photographs from the Daryl Hewson Collection, ‘Art Lines’, By Louise Martin-Chew, Issue 2, 2008 (June – August), p.48, 49.

  • Art Monthly Australia:  I was mentioned, and an image of my work was printed, in Art Monthly Australia as part of the article:  The QCP: ongoing analysis and a constant receptivity: An Interview with Maurice Ortega, By Adam Geczy, Issue 208, April 2008.

  • Queensland Festival of Photography:  An acquired print of the work Lounge is featured in the exhibition Memoirs: Selected Works from the Daryl Hewson Collection at the State Library of Queensland until 11 May.  The exhibition is part of the Queensland Festival of Photography.  Floor Talk by Daryl Hewson, Maurice Ortega and Gordon Craig on Friday 11 April, 12pm.  For more information go to the Queensland Festival of Photography Website

  • IMA:  One of my video works Burn is featured in the IMA's touring video art exhibition Greatest Hits / Previously Unreleased Tracks.  It will be exhibited alongside works by Tracey Moffatt, Scott Redford, Grant Stevens, Peter Alwast, Archie Moore and Chris Bennie.   • Arc Biennial:  My work was featured in the ARC Biennial exhibition in October, 2007.  The chosen works were Lounge, Still Life, Clock and Painting and Flight, a previously unseen video performance work.  For more information go to the ARC Website
